A smile touched her lips, transforming her face into something much softer than the questioning or bemused look of before. It was… nice to have someone who knew her line of work, and who didn't shrink away when facing it's full implications. So often she never fully admitted to others the full breadth of her position, the purpose of The Blade, due to the stigma attached to being good at one thing - death.
And she listened intently to his words too, as the dragon off the rocky shoreline trilled a colourful song, seemingly more satisfied and playful now that he had a full belly. Or perhaps he was buoyed by his bondmate's lightening emotions - perhaps it was a combination effect occurring to both of them.
"It's easy to forget the dangers of the world when one only has stories. Only we-" and here she too referred to the Other, "-have been out and about recently, only we believe and understand that the danger is very real." It was a classic case of being so safe for so long that the idea of anything ever going wrong was simply too hard for many to comprehend.
"As for facing the danger where it is born, well," she arched a brow at the man, her smiling transforming into something far more devious than before. "Isn't that what we're for?"
