Then she trotted towards the door. Shoving it open, she went out into the snow and disappeared from sight. As she grew too distant for the healer to feel her in his mind, he whimpered.
"They say..." Voice trailing off, he licked his lips. "They tell me to come play with them. Where it's warm and happy, and I'll finally belong. Because I'm the Firebrand. Right?" Smiling, his eyes grew unfocused.
