Over mountains and forests and seas
He took to wing, as soon as he heard the news. The twins, the twins who were infected with some mystery illness, had both broken out of their homes and were gallivanting across the Tundra.
Across the Sea of Glass, more specifically.
Auni, safely left at the house, sent pulses of concern over the bond to Chulane, who returned them, but with reassurances that he would be back as soon as he could. As soon as he found the twins.
It was a relief, if small, to find Morgan present as well. At least there was someone sane with him. He let out a long whistle, and dipped his flight low above her - not low enough to put her in danger of his claws, but certainly low enough that she might see him, and recognise him in this shift.
Then Chulane saw the 'nest' that everyone was being drawn to, and upon ensuring the twins and Morgan were not in any immediate danger, made to fly over to it, circling higher and higher, to give himself more distance to make a clear dive. 'I'll try to catch it,' he beamed to Loren, hoping the attuned bond was clear enough to the man through the fog of his illness in this moment. 'Get back to safety!'
With that, he dived towards the egg, opening his generous wingspan and stretching out his taloned feet as he neared the nest - ready to adjust or pull out at a moment's notice.
