(Clever creatures, using wings and magic and all of your special, special gifts. The things that you rely on, that define you, that you've become so accustomed to seeing as who you are. But what happens when that's stripped away...?)
The ice breaks.
It's the fierce flick of a cold snap, but everything is different. Did you blink? Did you move? Did you fall? No- and yet here you are, not where you were, floating on a large section of the ice, alone but for two others. No magic. No shifts. No upgrades. No companions. Only you, as bare of ability as the day you were born.
And the egg, of course.
It's ahead of you, though you can't quite see it through the haze of steam that drifts off the ice-cold sea, but still you know that it is there. All you can see are your companions, and the great expanse of Some of you are injured. Some of you are fine.
All of you hear a voice in your ear, asking a question you don't fully understand.
What will your answer be?
Oh no! Some magic is at work, and you find yourself stranded on the ice with only your wits and two randomly chosen companions! So long as you remain in the drop your magic, shifts, abilities, items, etc will not work!
