He shifts the pad, grabs the pencil, and scribbles something down quickly and tries to make the Ascended see it.
‘I’ll be fine.’ He begins, pacing a few inches below it to continue. ‘Isn’t the Arbiter supposed to prevent that sort of thing, though?’ A few seconds later, he focuses again when a thought hits him. ‘I can talk to them if you want me to.’
