Saiden shaded his eyes against the blinding white of the fog. When it deposited him into an ocean, he grinned. Treading water with practiced strokes, he swam in a circle, trying to pierce the mist that shrouded the watery world.
Unfortunately, it turned out to be rather impenetrable. Brow furrowing, he treaded water for a bit as he considered his next steps. Then his smirk returned.
He knew how to find pearls: his whole life had been spent on the sea, after all. So he struck out, swimming for what he hoped were shallower waters. If he found them, he'd search the sands there for oysters.
