Arialla almost cried out as the ground crumbled under her, quickly darting to safer footing. Then she paused, examining the uncertain remains of the path and the chasm beside it. It seemed likely that she would fall at some point if she tried to keep going on the rubble ... This was a dream, wasn't it? Maybe that called for some unconventional solutions.
She always did love dreaming that she could fly.
So she tried to capture that sensation now, that lightness that in those occasional dreams allowed her to swim through the air, to rise and fall through sheer will. She didn't lift off the ground, so she had no idea if it had worked, but ...
With a sudden laugh -- why the hell not -- she leapt into the chasm.
