Whether it meant to protect her or not, the forest was keeping Juniper from her goal. Its clinging branches would make quite an obstacle if she continued through, though through seemed to be the most direct path to her goal ...but it's the easiest thing to do
Fortunately, she had another option. Stretching her wings, she flew up, above the trees, and continued straight on her path -- as straight as she could manage, anyway. She kept to just above the treetops, hoping that being able to see them would keep her from getting lost in the fog, though she made sure she stayed out of their reach.
