the spyglass
Surprised at the offer of food, Finn flashes an overly polite smile in her direction. The refusal is on his tongue, and yet it's schooled by the reminder that he needs to do something if he's expected to look anything like he used to, and so he accepts the cracker with a nod of gratitude. "I certainly don't find myself seeing the same things twice," he remarks of the Celestine, sampling the snacks as they walk, his stormy eyes flicking from the Tower and back to the path ahead.
Recognition shoots through his gaze at the name she offers, Finn glancing across at her. "Your sister is the Artificer," he remarks, before clearing his throat awkwardy - because of course she would know that much, given that they were related. "She recently completed some work on my office. She's quite talented." But he's thrown by the prospect of a companion, the Spyglass chewing thoughtfully on the inside of his cheek.
"You know, I have never really considered it. I imagine something active, to get me out of my office once in a while. What about you?" Speaking of work, she asks after his research, and Finn can only shrug his shoulders gently in response. "That is up to the Eye," he says. "I do not really have a say in the matter."
