Theo was all for gift-giving, as long as he didn't have to actually offer anything. It looked like that wasn't the case here, sadly; people seemed to be primarily exchanging gifts with those they knew, making reciprocal exchanges rather than just handing things to random scruffy-looking strangers (though Theo had done his best to clean up).
Still, a party was a party, free drinks and all -- at least, Theo assumed the drinks were free, and didn't bother asking if they weren't. If someone wanted him to pay for them, they'd have to track him down first, and he made sure to stay deep in the crowd, mingling, blending -- and picking a few pockets. Telekinesis really helped him do so even with a drink in his hand.
