The gift-giving event had snuck up on Juniper this year, and she had little to give, though she'd picked up a few trinkets at the last minute -- she hadn't even decided on specific people to gift them to, just carried them in reserve, in case a situation should arise when one became appropriate. Besides that, she put on her best clothes and came to the party itself, smiling, mingling ...but it's the easiest thing to do
She couldn't help noticing how other Fae reacted to her -- it felt like they regarded her differently now. Perhaps some of that was simply because she had come out to the event itself; before this and Fiat Lux, she had always kept to herself. But she thought she was also drawing more attention, more glares, more stares -- and a few smiles or nods, too. The Fae knew she was reaching out to the outsiders, and they had a bevy of opinions about it. Juniper was heartened to realize that not all of them were negative.
