Theo was feeling pretty pleased with himself up until the moment when he realized the Fae's spear was heading straight at his shoulder. There wasn't much force behind it, since Alina wasn't pushed forward that hard, but it went right through his flimsy shirt and left a long scratch across his shoulder.
"Ow! You stabbed me!" Theo raised his voice, making their little conversation instantly the business of everyone else within 10 feet, as blood began to flow from his wound. He put a hand to the scratch and came away dramatically smeared with blood. "Is this how the Fae have their parties? They just stab anyone who pisses them off?"
He kept getting louder, fully intending to make a scene. If he could pin enough blame on Alina for "attacking" him, maybe everyone would forget about his pickpocketing.
