Digesting what Loren says, Wessex’s expression shifts into one of concern. “I don’t know how compulsion really works, but that sounds… not good. Let’s go a little further and then take a turn, maybe try to go around it?” Looking to the others for confirmation on whether or not they agree with that loose plan, the Wraith waits for Oliver to start to use his Earth magic and then latches on to it, ready to slowly proceed a bit further before deciding whether to turn left or right.
While Wessex may personally be all for meeting something unwieldy while underground, she has to keep in mind that not everyone will be, and with the potential for a cave in here, lightning above, and something unyielding ahead, it’s probably better to play it safe, if at all possible.
