There was no question in his mind about fleeing or escaping; never been a heathen of evasion, unless there was naught else to be done.
He backed away from the tumbling boulders, from the obscured falls, from the monstrous creature, catching Morgan and her guards from the corner of his eye. Already irritating the cretin with incantations, though understandable, likely weren’t going to help matters.
So the Sword hastened enchantments of Air, intending to contort and ripple fog around them, to obscure anyone else in the vicinity of the monster, striving to give them movement and time while Zuriel tucked herself behind him. A shout too, but not expecting an answer, uncertain if the animal was capable of understanding, or if he could in turn (unlikely; given every other circumstance he’d run into). “Why are you here?”
