I came for your stories, I stayed for your beauty.
Tenor wasn't sure what was more curious. The large cat that was there only moments before or the brightly coloured human that took its place. Many of the words the stranger used seem foreign to Tenor. Though he understood the simple greeting he offered the mermaid. "Hey. Are you lost?" He asked simply. Never before had Tenor seen such vivid colours on a human before. Sure some of the merfolk enjoyed wearing more vibrant colours, but even they would never wear something so... extreme.

The stranger was likely an outlander, Tenor decided. Most people knew that the seas of the Torchline stayed warm almost year round. One of the benefits of the area. Not that that really mattered to Tenor. Water was water, and it's never been too cold for him - at least not yet. Again with the strange use of words. Tenor knew what drink meant, but he wouldn't use it to describe the sea.

"Not at all. The waters quite nice actually." Tenor said loosely, still eying the stranger ever-so-curiously. "Why don't you come in and try it?" Part of Tenor wanted to see if the strange man could swim, the other wanted to know what stories he might have to share. More curious though, was why the man was even trying to nap on the docks in the first place. It's not like the port wasn't a busy place.
