There’s something about Cian, the way he looks at you, that has you rooted to the spot, breath hitched and held as if making the wrong move would absolutely destroy the façade. That’s exactly what Sera does, remaining still, meeting his gaze despite the fact that it feels like it pours through her and devours every little secret of hers – if she had any, but the look makes her wary of whether she does or doesn’t, funny how that works – only releasing her breath when Cian responds.
