Sparks flash brightly from the fire around which Ludo, Delphia, and Remi have gathered. Mort rises like a phoenix of light bursting from the ashes, and yet rather than revel in the grandeur of his entrance, instead he turns a warm gaze to his herald, his daughter, and the Lullaby. "It has been too long." He beams towards Delphia, before extending an arm toward Ludo that the herald might shift forms and drape itself across his shoulders, or simply occupy the space at his side. "Please to finally meet you, Remi Taliesin." Mort adds finally with a kind nod directed towards the alchemist.
Vi might not have time for much of a preamble, but Mort will always make time for greetings.
With a fond gaze for his soulmate, Mort waits until Vi has said what he will. Different though their approaches to this might be, they stand unified in the decision they've made. "If we act now, we can hopefully prevent more death. The Voice seems intent on expanding her reach, and I'm afraid we might have been too soft in our efforts previously." There is no judgement in Mort's voice, only soft acknowledgement of what has come to pass.
