Sam raised an eyebrow at Neron's comment, but decided not to make too much of it. As far as he knew, Neron didn't know all that much about who he'd once been, the developments he'd gone through, but maybe he was speaking from his own experiences too. His thoughts were swiftly interrupted by the obstacle of the lava in front of them, anyway, and as the steam rose he took a couple of steps back, coughing and waving a hand in front of his face even without lungs.
Pulling a face and blinking as he tried to readjust after, he shook his head. "It's very awkward. Don't you know what happens when you bite someone?" Maybe Neron had never gotten to, didn't know the effect it had; Sam didn't know how anyone could think the bite was something casual, given what it did. He still struggled to bring himself to do it in a context outside of the bedroom.
He walked forward where the steam had once been, still not quite meeting Neron's eyes as Rexanna was discussed. "She was wonderful. I hope she's having a good time with the Voice now."
