Osozo's chipper demeanour would have seemed absolutely insane, if Sam didn't know about their origins; he suppose the Voice could have simply chosen to program Osozo without fear, something that he could hardly imagine. His entire life had an undercurrent of paranoia, bubbling away in the background; right now it was considerably more present, as he stepped around cracks in the formed ground and prayed none of them would falter.
"You can see the heat?" Sam asked, considering if that was useful. In a place that was all heat, he wasn't sure, but at least Osozo might be able to warn if there was something truly terrible coming. "Well...the cure that didn't come from the Voice came from here, and I think there might be other important things hidden around. I've heard stories." He shrugged; it wasn't their place to question their Goddess.
