Taking out the dagger Alina had given her -- a fun little coincidence, that it might help save Alina's own life -- Juniper began to saw at the branch, carefully avoiding the sap. She tried to stay aware of her surroundings as she did so, but it quickly took all of her attention just to keep from sticking herself to the branch, which certainly wouldn't have been ideal.
