When he’d finally settled, when the memories were no longer so armed, he flickered over the ground, lightly touching down upon hardened soil and cobblestones, rounding back towards the barracks, their wandering journey always seeming to settle directly into the military denizens. Therein, he was human once more – back to furs and flesh, the ningo clutched in his grasp, and he snorted at the leopard, opening the door again to enter as she bid.
