The Sword hadn’t adequately inspected the training grounds during his affliction – he’d meant to, but with scores of other things to settle, like cures, like memorials, like assisting with various things surrounding the quest for the Citadel, the barracks had unfortunately gone by the wayside.
Claiming the keys, and wandering his way in, leant discoveries over several impending situations. Some explosion, perhaps last LongNight’s dilemma, had rendered it a mess towards the back, repairs certainly required to certain structures, and as he picked his way around, he noted the training grounds themselves – while a sight to behold, needed some maintenance as well. Even the armory, while suitable, had leant itself to some measure of wreckage, with the piles of metal, blades, and subsequent other armaments and munitions crowded around in various debris and disarray.
Zuriel snorted behind him, which sounded a bit like laughter through their bond, as he cast only a single heavy sigh. And while she was content to curl herself in a corner, no assistance necessary or needed from her unless someone fell into heavy tribulations, the Sword began the process, placing notice upon boards looking for steadier hands, and the invitation already extended to Aisha. It’d been done before, back in the Grounds, and he could do it again – already starting along front parlors, where maps and plans and battlements could be drawn up, eyeing the stairs, no doubt leading to some apartment he could refurbish later.
