“Jack had his guys scout for him. They didn’t find anything. And I fucking panicked more and so he put a couple here until you got back.” His gaze lifts again, fracturing steel meeting Nate’s face. He doesn’t want to even think about the favors he’s got to do for the captain for the trade, but it's always there at the back of his mind.
