The Outlanders do seem to stand out, no matter how much they assimilate; be it power or attitude, ignorance or ideas about the world, they can usually, eventually be spotted. “Nah, you just happened to land in the one area that’s probably seen the fewest Outlanders.” It should be obvious why: not many can stand the ice and snow, the cold that seems to seep into one’s bones.
