But she made herself brighten back up and laughed a little. ”Knowing my luck I will end up an old maid. But I am very much of age to marry and have children and all that, despite my baby face.” she said, using some self-deprecating humor to hopefully keep his spirits up. He spoke more and so she fell silent, listening as she found the fabric she would need to make him a decent coat – or cloak rather because sleeves were hard.
