Finally, he has a day go his way, no disaster striking as he repairs and restocks the shelf. Some pessimistic part of him insists a it’s merely a fluke, the build up to something much worse, though it’s easy to ignore. Wouldn’t it be nice if the worst he had to worry about was fucking up some DIY.
While decorating isn’t exactly a passion of his, he has a few personal touches he wants to add, both for Ray and for the space itself. She’d gone the extra mile helping with his home, for gods sake, he could return the favour. When he arrives the next morning, it’s with an armful of homespun blankets (not by him, obviously, but it’s the thought that counts) and his usual coffee and breakfast, oatmeal and fruit this morning.
”Did you get some good sleep last night?” He teases Ray with a grin, before getting to work. The blankets are laid out on the prepared beds first thing, just to get them out of his arms, and from there Nate picks up a paintbrush and gets to work on the walls. He chooses a light green, meant to be calming, soothing.
