The threat of getting smacked by Ray has Milo working extra hard to ensure that he does a good job, even if it’s completely for show. But he manages it, taking his time with the plaster to fill the hole he’d created in the wall and moving onto the paint to cover it up completely once the plaster has dried. And for not being too good at most handyman tasks, Milo finds himself doing a well enough job that he can’t help the smile from his face, the glow he embraces the rest of the day – especially as he meanders his way toward Aurelia and playfully teases her the rest of the day once he’d finished his task.
As for Ray falling asleep, Milo can’t help the huff of laughter at her easy dismissal, finding it easy to slip out of the space and heading home for an attempt at a good nights sleep without pain from fucking up somehow today.
The next day, however, Milo arrives with excitement, darting toward the breakfast Nate’s spread out. “Thank Frey.” He rumbles, moving to grab coffee and food to devour, before peering at what’s left once Nate’s picked his task. “Imma make th’sign.” He announces, flashing a grin to Aurelia before drifting toward the sign and the smaller paintbrushes, to design it delicately with the new name.
