Ray feels her heart crack when he starts crying and apologizing. Ray walks over slowly and gently places a hand on his shoulder to keep him sitting. Her other hand gently pries his injured one from his face. She wanted to treat it immediately given the severity but first Ray needed to make sure he wasn't about to have a panic attack.
