Y’cant save everything. The ghost whales prolly ate it ‘n left some fed the sharks ‘n other sea life.”
His head tilts toward her again, wondering whether to take another sip of the flask or to air his true reasons. He decides on the latter. “I really jus’ wanna go so I can help ya, Relia, rather than sit here ‘n wait fer ya t’come back wonderin’ if a ghost whale gotcha.”
