Remi the Alchemist
"these mountains that you are carrying, you were only supposed to climb"
Remi snorted and shook his head. For a moment he imagined a sign for the bounty hunter's guild boasting that they had faced monsters more than 0 times, and wondering just what sort of reception that would give them. Perhaps if he could find a bit of spare time he'd make such a sign and hang it up hopefully without Ronin noticing.

Watching Ronin try and prod and bind the banshee, Remi frowned unhappily at the squelching and bone-clacking sounds that came from the corpse. "Here." He sighed, pushing himself to a standing position as well and pinching the bridge of his nose to try and regain some of his balance. In his hands was suddenly a length of rope that they could use to bind the creature together (what was left of it anyways).

"True." Remi hummed in agreement. "At least here, the monsters have suitably horrifying faces. Back in Northaven they looked just like anyone else."

what.

"Mm?" Ronin glanced up as Remi spoke, smiling gratefully at the rope and nodding to him. Accepting it, he made quick work of binding the banshee up, hoisting the rope over his shoulder when he was done and beginning to work in loping, unbalanced strides. A ruptured eardrum and a liberal sprinkling of trauma? This was going to be fun walk back to the settlement.

He huffed out a humourless laugh at his friend's comment, nodding to him emphatically. "Worse still, a lot of them were in charge," he muttered, gritting his teeth and fallen silent to concentrate on his footsteps. The last thing they needed was to fall or slip and hurt themselves. The going would be slow and cold and Ronin, for one, was as far from fine as possible, but they had survived. That was the main thing. That was always the main thing.
