Running his fingers back through his hair, Ronin moves to sit on a low wall where there's a canteen of water waiting. He unscrews the top, takes a drink and offers it out to Aurelia. "I hope you don't ever have to know what I'm talking about. I've only experienced one monsoon season, and it was more than enough for me. The wind was what surprised me, more than the rain." It's strange now, to even think about it compared to now. So much kept changing, season by season, and it never feels as though they get a break.
It's a surprise to hear Aurelia apologise, and Ronin finds himself smiling to her as if to tell her not to worry about it. "Listen, I probably deserved it." He waves her away. His marriage, though, is less easy to dismiss, Ronin's smile inching towards the painful as he drops his gaze. "I won't say it's okay because it isn't, but... thanks. Good people who do bad things pretty much sums me up, I think. And you're right - I do know that now. Maybe I can join those illustrious ranks one day, and have you kick ass on my behalf."
