He makes a point of letting the bird go away from him, backing up as he does so. It scrambles through the boughs and leaves, eager to get away from it's assailants. Locke exhales a breath he didn't realize he was holding, ignoring the faint trembling in his hands as he takes the two feathers she holds out to him. It's not much but it's better than leaving the thing with no way to fly, right? Predators who are far less kind than they were surely lurk amongst the shadows here.He runs his thumb over the edge of the feather, looking at her. "Not sure. They're not much for trading. Might just hold on to them.. Would make a quill or something but I can't really write." He's not ashamed of it, it's not like he had much time to learn. He can do simple things but such a nice quill would be wasted on him.
