Kiada had returned, had survived the fight she hadn’t had a choice but to attend, and was wholly herself still. “You made it back,” deep tones echoed, his hand rising to cup her porcelain cheek as space came between them, as they beheld each other with matching blue eyes and sheer delight written on their faces.
A low hm was given as she rose on tiptoes to press her lips against his stubbly cheek – it wasn’t enough for the farmer in this instance, as he moved his hands to her hips to use this chance to lift her, to step in closer to her, pressing himself against her, and her against the wall of the building behind. Then, with her lips as a far more even height to his, he leaned forward to devour her in a kiss, uncaring for who might hear or see them. She was back, she was his, and he would keep it that way for as long as she would have him from here on out.
When they did eventually break for air (at least on his part), he paused a moment, pressing his forehead gently against hers. “Are you hurt?” It was something he probably should have established before going in for the kiss, he thought rather belatedly, but he was confident she would’ve informed him prior if she such actions were inappropriate – as it was, he was confident she was in well enough health. She’d made it back to the Citadel after all.
