The minds of gods were complicated things and Sah knew far too little about the Voice to even speculate on her intentions. That and his companion didn't seem like the kind of person who would appreciate such reassurances. He had to bite back a grin as Mabel tried once more to get a rise out of him. The previous attempts hadn't gone unnoticed. And although it was mildly irritating, it was mostly just entertaining to see her keep trying. He briefly wondered if she'd lose her temper if he kept at it. But the phrase 'Abandoned existence' got to him. "If your Gods didn't want me to live, they shouldn't have saved my life.
