Though she is intent on asking Nate's opinion on her own, if only to gauge where they all stand before any decisions are made. Hotaru is as confident in Nate's abilities to be a parent as she is in Sunjata's, that's certainly not in question, but seeing as how he may have to supply something to the Voice for it, they'll likely need to prepare in ways not normally required for general procreation.
The reminder of Azrael makes her heart twinge. The child has likely forgotten her, if any memory existed at all from those early days. Just another failure in the long list acquired in her absence. She has failed Rexanna, and Azrael themself, and for a moment she cannot focus her attention on Sunjata's reactions as she is overcome with regret.
