So he lets the conversation in that regard die, another low hum leaving him as he focuses on the kiss to his chin, the warmth of her beside him, the blankets drawn up around the two of them and the weight of everything on their shoulders.
Sleep finds him quickly, trying to fix the bone deep exhaustion that has his limbs feeling like lead now that he’s curled up in the bed with her. At least this time he’s too tired to let the nightmares stir him awake.
