Cameron, smart cookie they were, put together his suggestion, waving Nate with the difficult task of honesty
”I’m sure that the Voice at least would.” Really, the more he thought about it, the more right it sounded. ”I can’t say for sure any of the Heralds would, not without asking something of you first.” Bitterness infects his tone, not nearly as subtle as he wants. ”If you decide to ask her, I can go with you.”
