Nate sobers quickly, his joy once again bottled as he looks to Sunjata, brows pinched in tight worry. He doesn’t know what promises were made between his lovers, doesn’t know what betrayal has taken place, but he knows it’s echoed in his own chest, a knife pressed deeper between his ribs with every word.
