Aurelia can see the whizz of Melita's second arrow, can hear the cry of pain as one of the men is felled. Their leader, who swings his weapon and misses the sloppy strike against Aurelia, makes no pause. It would appear he has little concern over the wellbeing of his men, which only angers Aurelia further.
But she makes a conscious decision not to use the knife to stab him, because it might render her weaponless - and he may still be left standing in spite of it. No, she knows better than that. So she curls the handle in against her palm and sweeps her arm out, the sharpness of her blade lashing deep against his shoulder. Blood pools out of it immediately.
However, even with the blade still safe in her grip, it's not over yet. Her opponent whirls around, thudding the hilt of his blade against her head. It hits nothing vital, thankfully, and it's not enough to knock her out. All the same, he's heavy-handed and the hit sends Aurelia reeling backwards, losing control of her balance. Her feet stumble desperately but she falls, straight off of the edge of the dock. She lands somewhere in the shallows, head thundering and spinning.
"Had enough already!?" He spits at her from atop the dock, laughing.
