last couple of months kinda been a disaster
A hum of a laugh manages to make it out of Milo’s throat in between the verses until the music begins to falter and he finds himself slowing the strumming of the guitar. He nods to Aurelia’s choice, before his gaze flickers to Jack with raised red brows, awaiting what may or may not come. Truthfully, though, Jack says ‘fine’ and Milo waits in anticipation, waiting to pick up the tune.

Luckily, though, for Jack – this song is a specific one that his family had always seemed to break out on their fishing boats. It’s one Milo knows easily, and he nudges Aurelia as he darts over toward Jack. He starts a new melody with the guitar to continue Jack’s lines. “She’d not been two weeks from shore, when down on ‘er a right whale bore. The cap’n called all hands ‘n swore, he’d take that whale in tow.” An elbow nudges out to Jack with the following slap of the guitar.

His gaze flickers out to the rest of them, Melita and Aurelia and the rest of the crew, trying to get them in with it. “Soon may the wellerman come, t’bring us sugar ‘n tea ‘n rum…
