Teeth find the crook of her neck as he stakes claim to her body, sucking a mark to rest alongside the pearls as if they weren't enough for everyone to know just what was happening here. That the governor has found himself a temporary bedwarmer. Maeve doesn't mind it. If anything there is a sense of pride in it. Something that makes her preen at the thought of people knowing. That she was his distraction of choice. That wasn't all she was. She was a confidant and friend. She was one of the few things keeping him together. Who else could say that right now?
His voice pulls her from her thoughts as it rumbles through his chest and against her throat, "Still out you say? Well then... Guess we'll just have to keep trying until we get a conclusive answer."
