Following her instructions with nods and then actually doing so (not that he didn’t believe her, it just seems polite to validate her then and there), he collapses the cane and then brings it back to its full length.
And then they get to the other part - the dangerous part, the part that feels both naughty and exciting and anxiety-inducing all at onc - with the singular button. Hesitating for only a second, Falke presses it down and waits to see what pops out.
