Which she supposed was a satisfying feeling. "But that was all a long time ago." she said with a slight sigh. It had been a wonderful day at the Oasis, a memory she couldn't help but recall fondly. But in the end, it had led to a great series of mistakes that had nearly killed her. "And besides, it seems you have that future I wanted now. Strange how the world works, hm?" she said, not curtly or with any venom, but with a straight forward, no nonsense tone. Despite how much he had protested it, here he was, buying blankets for a child he had fathered, and here she was, feeling further away from her personal dreams of family and motherhood than ever before. His words couldn't soothe the sting of that reality. And so she turned slightly, staring out the front window into the downpour. The Nightingale had no interest in continuing to dwell on the past, only to fume over the unfairness of life.
