Exactly, Ronin wants to say. That's exactly the problem - he does care, and starting to catch feelings for a junkie musician is precisely the sort of shit that's bad for him, especially after he'd been stood up by said musician for this, apparently. "A bad night, the night before going away with me, huh?" He raises his eyebrows. "You could have just ghosted me like a normal person."
Shrugging off the apology about his friends, Ronin can't help but snort out a laugh at Remi's comment. "No you don't," he mutters automatically. Because he doesn't know him - they don't know each other at all, really, beyond banter and fucking and sarcastic quips.
Regardless, he suddenly finds himself with his hands pretty full trying to stop Remi from splattering on the floor of his room. "Steady," he tries to warn him, helping to guide him to the window and raising an eyebrow as they're faced with the other hospital buildings opposite. "This view is shit compared to the one from your roof," he remarks.
