Nephele rights herself with a snarl, and flies as quickly as she can for Nate where he is on the ladder, hoping to springboard off his shoulders with her feet and shove him down at the same time if possible. Maybe not considering her own petite figure, but even getting to kick the brute in the head or shoulder or delaying his climbing would make this worth it.

Then she tries to use her illusion magic to make the boundary seem like a small hole is opening.
