"Yes, I did," Isla remarks softly, and her pebble blues lift enough to his face so she can smile gently to him. "And then some. It was more than I could have ever imagined it would be, to be honest." And that's in good ways and bad ways, but the former outweighs the latter so far. "Obviously, we all get melancholy every now and then. Turning back to his arm, she's surprised to hear humour as dark as her own, grinning as she moves to collect up her tools so she can actually saw through the bone and remove it.
