Perhaps the real difficulty in the situation, even if he felt no shame in it, was that they had no control over being born with incantations. But he shrugged his shoulders, watching as her boat collapsed. “One was apparently all it took.” In a motion of those horrendous measures, he ensured it maintained its shape again, renewed, as if it had never been broken.
He tilted his head in thought, eyes ghosting elsewhere. “How do you intend to get home then?”
