The Madame hangs on to every word, tucking this new information away to reside with everything else that she knows of the other woman. There was a lot she didn’t know of worlds outside of Caido. She hadn’t ever heard of the place Hotaru was from, but that only meant she was even more enraptured by what the woman had to share. “Somehow that sounds better than being bound by marriage or love. If she could place some of her more senior girls in those positions instead, ensuring that they’re properly trained, then maybe they wouldn’t have the issue they did before.
