Well, this doesn't appear to be working the way she expected either. Her first, logical answer didn't work and now the illogical solution doesn't either. Frustration and confused fear work a hard line between her brows as she stops diving and looks toward the ice and light, a few bubbles streaming up from her nose.
Just as she's thinking she doesn't want to risk it, she hears her name again - as if spoken aloud. She turns swiftly, as swiftly as one can in the not-upside down, and her gaze scans the dark green depths.
She wants to speak, to demand to know who's there, but she can't - not when she's underwater. So she kicks out her feet but not to panic back to the surface. Instead, she searches deeper, feeling a sense of urgency prickle at her edges.
