ISLA
Isla is not a fighter, as is clear by the way she is prepared neither for the relaliatory kick (which thankfully doesn't come) or the way Varus twists and manoeuvres himself, ending up behind her. The slim stream of bubbles from her lips says as much, though as she glances over her shoulder at him she's smiling. They sink lower, to where her sensors tell her that the temperature is dropping, to where the moonlight can't pierce the depths.
That isn't a problem, though, for two Ascended, and so as their game turns into something more relaxing Isla leans back and into Varus, her fingers reaching out to try and catch the silver fish, but they are much too quick and jittery for her. This is incredible she wants to say, but of course their voices won't carry down here. So instead she turns to face him properly, sneaking in for a kiss.
